Bishkek, Aug. 29, 2026 /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan plans to establish a ropeway assembly plant jointly with a Chinese company. The parties signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation during the Kyrgyz-Chinese investment forum. Nazim Sultanaliev, director of Bereket Consult, told journalists.

According to him, Kyrgyzstan's mountainous terrain creates demand for ropeways, creating opportunities for developing domestic production and exporting them to neighboring countries.

"We analyzed the ropeway market in China, visited 6-7 large factories, and selected the largest and most experienced manufacturer." "We're currently working successfully with him," said Sultanaliev.

The company is currently implementing a cableway construction project in the Besh-Tash district of Talas Oblast. According to the director, the project is technically complex, with the cableway stretching 1.4 km.
