Bishkek, April 29, 2026. /Kabar/. Special representative of Kyrgyz president for special tasks Bakyt Torobaev participated in SCO "Green and Sustainable Development" forum held in Ningbo as part of his working visit to China.
In his speech, Bakyt Torobaev noted that Kyrgyzstan attaches great importance to the transition to a sustainable and "green" development model. Kyrgyzstan, which is rich in natural resources, considers environmental sustainability to be an important basis for long-term economic growth.
As part of the visit, Bakyt Torobaev held a bilateral meeting with Shen Yueyue, Vice Chairman of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Chairman of the SCO Committee on "Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation".
The parties noted that there is a strong impetus for the development of a comprehensive strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and China, and discussed cooperation within the framework of Kyrgyzstan's chairmanship in the SCO and upcoming high-level meetings.
In addition, business forums were held with representatives of companies in the cities of Ningbo and Wenzhou. During these events, the Ministry of Energy of Kyrgyzstan and the National Investment Fund provided information on the country's investment climate, specific investment projects, and opportunities for practical cooperation between the business communities of Kyrgyzstan and China.
