Bishkek, Nov. 5, 2026 /Kabar/. More than 200 objects of illegal construction, as well as more than 40 problematic long-term constructions have been identified in Kyrgyzstan. The legalization has already been made for most of the illegal houses, and external management has been introduced in relation to long-term construction. The Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Nurdan Oruntaev told journalists.
According to him, large-scale work was carried out on objects of unauthorized construction, which allowed citizens to officially arrange and operate their housing.
"As you know, on the territory of the republic we have discovered more than 200 objects of illegal construction and more than 40 objects where construction work has been completely suspended. About 190 of the relevant decisions on illegal objects have been extended. Today, our citizens already live in these houses," Oruntaev noted.
As for objects with suspended construction terms, the department applies the mechanism of anti-crisis intervention to protect the interests of shareholders.
"We will make a decision on the introduction of external management for objects and projects. This will make it possible to oblige the company to carry out the work without interruption and to ensure that the construction is completed. As one of the largest examples of such objects, the construction company "Doolot Construction" can be named," said the head of the Ministry of Construction.
