Bishkek, Sept. 24, 2026 /Kabar/. Entrepreneurs and traditional artisans from Kyrgyzstan are expanding opportunities to enter international markets, Albina Alimova, a representative of the artisan and tourism sector from Karakol told Kabar.
According to her, an initiative that began seven years ago as a small seasonal sales point has today evolved into a platform uniting artisans from various regions of Kyrgyzstan.
The project helps artisans find new buyers, develop tourism products, and tap into foreign markets. An educational program has also been developed for the artisans to help promote traditional products while preserving their authenticity and cultural characteristics.
The project's development was made possible with the support of the UNDP and the Government of Finland.
