Bishkek, Sept. 21, 2026 /Kabar/. A representative office of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of Kyrgyzstan has been opened in Shanghai.
According to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the opening of the representative office aims to expand business ties between Kyrgyzstan and China, as well as to attract investment and technology. Shanghai is one of China's major financial, technological, industrial, and logistics hubs, hosting the headquarters and representative offices of leading Chinese and international companies. Particular attention will be paid to shifting from trade to the implementation of joint manufacturing projects.
Temir Sariev, President of the CCI of the Kyrgyz Republic, took part in the opening ceremony. He had previously proposed an initiative to establish 100 joint Kyrgyz-Chinese enterprises. According to him, the opening of a representative office in Shanghai will serve as a practical continuation of this work.
"Our goal is not merely to increase the volume of trade with China. We want Chinese technologies, investments, and manufacturing expertise to come to Kyrgyzstan, leading to the creation of joint ventures, jobs, and high-value-added products here. The initiative to establish 100 Kyrgyz-Chinese enterprises must be backed by concrete projects," Sariev noted.
