Bishkek, Feb. 10, 2025. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan’s food security is not in danger, Erbol Zamirbekov, head of the food security department of the Ministry of Agriculture told Kabar.
According to him, there are full reserves of 9 socially significant products.
Currently, there is an increase in prices for potatoes and meat due to artificial speculation and high demand for potatoes in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
He noted that the country is fully self-sufficient in 7 types of products, with the exception of vegetable oil, bread products and berries.
The list of socially significant products includes meat, potatoes, milk, sugar, vegetables, fruits, melons, bread products, vegetable oil, eggs.
