Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover in January 2026 amounts $1.1 billion

Bishkek, March 18, 2026. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover in January 2026 amounted to $1.1 billion, an increase of 2.0% compared to the same period last year, according to the National Statistical Committee.

At the same time, export deliveries decreased by 20.3%, while import receipts, conversely, increased by 6.1%. Exports accounted for 12.0% of total trade turnover, while imports accounted for 88.0%.

According to their data, the country's mutual trade with EAEU member states amounted to USD 396.8 million in January 2026, an increase of 11.3% compared to January 2025. However, exports decreased by 15.7%, while imports increased by 17.8%.

The largest share of the republic's mutual trade during this period was with Russia (68.6%) and Kazakhstan (29.0%). Mutual trade with EAEU member states accounted for 37.7% of the republic's total trade turnover, 45.4% of exports, and 36.6% of imports.

It is noted that foreign trade with third countries (outside the EAEU) amounted to USD 656.1 million, a decrease of 2.9% compared to January 2025. Foreign trade with third countries accounted for 62.3% of the republic’s total trade turnover, 54.6% of exports, and 63.4% of imports.
