Bishkek, May 25, 2026 /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev officially launched high-speed satellite internet at comprehensive school in the high-altitude Enilchek village of Issyk-Kul region via videoconference.

The school in Enilchek, which previously lacked access to the global network due to its difficult geographic location and lack of terrestrial communications, has become the first social facility in the country to be connected via the Starlink satellite system.

Congratulating the students and teachers on this occasion, Adylbek Kasymaliev emphasized that the digitalization of education and ensuring equal access to knowledge for all citizens, regardless of their place of residence, are a priority of state policy. As a practical measure of support, the head of the cabinet donated five modern computers to the school for its classroom.

To ensure the new equipment and internet connection are used as effectively as possible, Adylbek Kasymaliev instructed the Ministry of Education to integrate the Enilchek village school into all state information systems within the ministry as soon as possible, ensuring access to digital educational resources and electronic databases.

"Connecting the school in Enilchek is a crucial step. Currently, only six schools in hard-to-reach areas in the country remain without internet access. "Ensuring high-quality and stable communications is our next priority, which will be resolved in the near future," the chairman said.

Thanks to the Cabinet of Ministers' systematic work on technical and legal aspects, Kyrgyzstan officially appeared in the active coverage zone on the starlink.com global map as of May 23, 2026.

It is also worth noting that ElCat LLC acted as the local partner in our country, implementing the extensive technical infrastructure in full compliance with international standards.
