Last year, crime detection rate reached 70.3% in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Jan.29, 2025. /Kabar/. In the 12 months of 2024, employees of internal affairs bodies of Kyrgyzstan solved 27,064 crimes, and the disclosure rate amounted to 70.3%, First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Adylbek Biybosunov said at the annual board of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

A meeting dedicated to summarizing the results of operational and service activities of internal affairs bodies for 2024 year was held Wednesday, the press service of the Interior Ministry reported.

Adylbek Biybosunov made a report, in which he noted that the internal affairs bodies of the country successfully fulfilled the tasks of fighting crime, ensuring public order, preventing crime and strengthening the rule of law, emphasizing that the Ministry has achieved a number of significant successes.

According to the statistics of the General Prosecutor's Office, in the 12 months of 2024, the internal affairs bodies initiated 35,685 criminal cases, which is 92.9% of all cases initiated by law enforcement agencies.

The first deputy minister noted both successes and shortcomings in the organizational and operational-service activities of the internal affairs bodies over the past year, conducted a detailed analysis of the criminogenic situation and identified key areas for strengthening work. He emphasized the need to promptly eliminate shortcomings and improve the quality of work to a higher level.
