Bishkek, Feb. 27, 2025. /Kabar/. Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev met on Wednesday with visiting members of the European Parliament Subcommittee on Human Rights.
According to the Foreign Ministry, during the talks, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the European Union.
Jeenbek Kulubaev emphasized that comprehensive cooperation and equal dialogue with the European Union are one of the priorities of Kyrgyzstan's foreign policy. In particular, the Kyrgyz Republic actively interacts with the EU in the areas of the rule of law, education, digitalization, transport connectivity, economic diversification, investment and tourism.
The head of the delegation, Chairman of the European Parliament Subcommittee on Human Rights Mounir Satouri expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and assistance in organizing the meetings. He noted the importance of upholding democratic standards and confirmed the European Parliament's readiness for an open and constructive dialogue. The Subcommittee members also highlighted Kyrgyzstan's achievements in the field of democracy and the country's commitment to human rights. Following the meeting, Jeenbek Kulubaev noted that the Kyrgyz Republic always advocates a constructive dialogue with its partners, including the discussion of all sensitive issues, and remains open to discussing any topics of mutual interest.
