Bishkek, Aug. 20, 2026. /Kabar/. The national tug-of-war (arkan tartysh) team of Kyrgyzstan is preparing intensively for the VI World Nomad Games. State Agency for Physical Education and Sports reports.
According to head coach Bakyt Madanov, three teams are participating in the training.
After all, the tug-of-war competition will be held in three categories:
8 on 8;
4 on 4 :
1 on 1.
"Preparations are going well. We have arrived at the training camp. The guys are in good health, and the food is well organized. The national team of Kazakhstan has also arrived, and we are currently conducting joint training," he said.
The coach noted that previously, during the preparation for the Nomad Games, only one team arrived and trained for 10 days. This time, the number of participants doubled, and two teams were formed.
Bakyt Madanov noted that all the necessary conditions were created for the team.
"All the necessary conditions have been created. Now everything depends on the team itself. However, every effort will be made," said the head coach.
