Bishkek, Jan. 15, 2026. /Kabar/. National Statistical Committee released data on the cost of living for 2025. The average per capita cost of living is 8,697.32 soms per month.
For the working-age population, the subsistence minimum is set at 9,738.29 soms (for men – 9,983.49 soms, for women – 9,694.40 soms). For pensioners, this figure is 7,699.36 soms, and for children – 7,379.07 soms.
Food products account for the largest share of the food basket at 5,653.26 soms, followed by services at 1,478.54 soms, non-food products at 1,391.57 soms, and taxes and fees at 173.95 soms.
These figures are calculated as monthly averages and reflect the minimum level of consumption of goods and services necessary to ensure human survival.
