Bishkek, Feb. 17, 2026 /Kabar/. Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Mazaripov met with representatives of the Asian Development Bank on Monday.
According to the ministry, at the meeting the parties discussed the project "Conservation and restoration of forests to ensure the stability of ecosystems", the concept and the timing of its successful implementation.
The deputy minister noted that improving forests in Kyrgyzstan is of strategic importance not only for the sustainable development of the country's natural resources, but also for taking action against climate change.
The main goal of this project is to conserve, restore, and sustainably use fruit forests, contributing to the sustainability of ecosystems and increasing the livelihoods of rural populations.
