Bishkek, July 24, 2026. /Kabar/. Construction of the "Nomad Universe" ethnovillage continues in the Kyrchyn jailoo, where the 6th World Nomad Games will be held. Twenty-one lightweight houses are being erected within the international tourist ethnobazaar. Doolot Rysbaev, coordinator of the Nomad Village zone at the headquarters for the cultural program of the 6th World Nomad Games told the Kabar.

According to him, all the facilities in the ethno-village are being built with the goal of recreating the atmosphere of nomadic culture. Modern construction technologies are not being used, with preference given to traditional methods.

"The 'Nomad Universe' ethno-village will be a unique space introducing guests to nomadic civilization. There will be no modern elements, such as LED screens. The houses are built using architectural models characteristic of our region since the Middle Ages. Only natural materials—earth, clay, and stone—are used in construction," said Doolot Rysbaev.

He noted that the best artisans and craftsmen from 31 countries, as well as Kyrgyzstan, selected through a special competition, will participate in the events held in the ethno-village. They will conduct live master classes in the newly constructed houses, present their products, and live in conditions reminiscent of nomadic life until the end of the event, introducing guests to the national culture.

According to Rysbaev, the ethno-village will become a permanent venue for major cultural and international events in the future.

In addition, approximately 40 similar earthen houses are being built in the food court area of the Kyrchyn jailoo. This area will be used for catering for guests. An international competition featuring the best chefs from 15 countries will also be held here.

The ethno-village will consist primarily of yurts. Representatives from all regions of Kyrgyzstan, the cities of Bishkek and Osh, and five public organizations will set up their yurts. A total of 15 regional yurt complexes will be established, each with artistically decorated gates reflecting the characteristics of the respective region. In addition to the competition areas, special accommodation areas will be set up for guests.

It is reported that approximately 70% of all competitions for the 6th World Nomad Games will be held in the Kyrchyn jailoo. The organizing committee is currently continuing construction and design work, preparing land plots, and creating the necessary infrastructure.

After the conclusion of the World Nomad Games, all the ethno-village facilities will be preserved and will become a venue for major cultural, tourist, and international events.
