Bishkek, Dec. 5, 2025. /Kabar/. The official teaser for the film "Aitmatov," dedicated to the life and career of the writer, has been released in Kyrgyzstan, Ministry of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic reports.
According to the creators, this will be the first full-length film based on the writer's biographical material. They have duly secured the film rights. The film is billed as a biographical drama, reflecting the key stages of Chingiz Aitmatov's life and his contribution to world culture.
The film is expected to premiere in 2026.
