Bishkek, March 16, 2026 /Kabar/. On March 16, 2026, Bishkek Mayor Aibek Dzhunushaliev held an off-site meeting on the site of Chui Avenue and Abdrakhmanov Street, Bishkek city administration reports.

It is noted that the owners are currently dismantling the previously erected structure. A sketch design has been prepared, which includes the restoration of the fountain composition and the improvement of the green space.

The mayor appealed to the management of the Aichurok Central Department Store (TSUM), urging them to avoid repeating past mistakes.

The mayor ordered the final design to be prepared by the next meeting of the urban planning council, so that restoration and improvement of the area can begin promptly after the demolition work is completed.

The mayor, together with representatives of Tashbolot Holding, also inspected the Old Bishkek project site, where the owners have decided to demolish the three-story building. Based on the opinions of city residents, a pedestrian and green area is planned for the area.

Following the inspection, Mayor Aibek Dzhunushaliev instructed city services to oversee the implementation of the projects. Furthermore, all buildings along Chui Avenue, including the Beren Gold building, must be brought into compliance with the city's design code.
