Bishkek, May 25, 2026 /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Finance Minister Ruslan Suinaliev, as part of the media project "Open Cabinet: Territory of Responsibility," inspected the progress of the major renovation of the building of the National Cardiology and Therapy Center named after Academician M. Mirrakhimov.
According to him, starting in 2023, capital investments will be partially financed through the issuance of government securities.
"Under this mechanism, 423 million soms were allocated for the modernization of the medical center. "As of today, the renovation is almost fully funded: approximately 20-30 million soms remain unspent, and the work itself is already 95% complete," Suinaliev noted.
During the inspection, the head of the department toured the key units of the medical facility. He inspected the renovated operating rooms and intensive care units, and also thoroughly examined the readiness for the launch of the new high-density cardiology department. The minister was shown the installed equipment purchased for performing complex cardiac surgeries.
"It was important for us to ensure that the funds allocated by the state are being used for their intended purpose. And today we see that these investments have been fully justified." "While previously our citizens had to travel abroad for complex cardiovascular surgeries, now, thanks to the purchase of the latest high-tech equipment, we have the opportunity to perform such operations within the country," emphasized Ruslan Suinaliev.
