Bishkek, June 3, 2026. /Kabar/. Osh Mayor Zhanarbek Akaev met today with representatives of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Kyrgyzstan and delegation from the Russian monitoring mission.
According to the city hall, the parties discussed projects being implemented in Osh and explored prospects for further cooperation.
In his speech, the mayor noted that air pollution, landscaping, and water conservation are pressing issues for Osh city, and expressed interest in conducting a comprehensive environmental analysis. He also expressed his willingness to apply international experience to increase local government transparency, implement digital governance tools, protect the rights of women and children, ensure city security, and develop investment potential.
