Bishkek, March 4, 2026. /Kabar/. Over 5,000 CCTV cameras have been installed to date as part of the "Safe City" project and to monitor traffic. Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Oktyabr Urmambetov announced at Jogorku Kenesh.
The deputy minister noted that in 2025, 900 people died in traffic accidents, and over 12,000 were injured.
"As a result of technical vehicle malfunctions, five people died, 29,900 were injured, and 657 reports were filed," he said.
