Bishkek, March 5, 2026. /Kabar/. Tree-planting ceremony and the laying of a Peace Alley took place in Bishkek today as part of the regional conference "Education for Peace and Security."
The event is timed to coincide with the International Day of Disarmament and Non-Proliferation Education, celebrated annually on March 5.

First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Asein Isaev, Head of the Regional Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Central Asia Biljana Milosevic, representatives of the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek, international experts, and youth activists participated in the greening event and the strengthening of environmental and peace initiatives.
Participants planted young trees, which will become a living symbol of Kyrgyzstan's aspirations for a nuclear-free world and regional stability. As noted during the ceremony, the Alley of Peace is intended to serve as a reminder of the importance of educational initiatives in preventing global threats and maintaining security for future generations.

A commemorative plaque bearing the logos of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ICRC, and the OSCE was also installed, confirming the parties' commitment to international humanitarian principles and the development of dialogue on non-proliferation issues.
