Bishkek, Oct. 23, 2025. /Kabar/. The resident population of Kyrgyz Republic as of September 1, 2025, was 7,361,000, an increase of 79,600, or 1.1 percent, since the beginning of the year, National Statistical Committee reports.
In January–August 2025, 90,700 newborns were registered with civil registry offices, representing 18.6 births per 1,000 population (compared to 20.0 for the same period in 2024).
During the same period, 21,600 deaths were registered, representing 4.4 deaths per 1,000 population (compared to 4.5 deaths in January–August 2024). Thus, the natural population growth rate was 69,100, or 14.2 per 1,000 population (last year: 15.4). The highest level of increase noted in the Batken, Osh and Jalal-Abad regions, and the lowest in Bishkek city.
