Bishkek, March 21, 2025. /Kabar /. President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov today, March 21, took part in the celebration of Nooruz on the central square in Osh.
The event began with the screening of the film "Zhany Kyrgyzstan" (New Kyrgyzstan), after which a theatrical prologue was presented about the meaning of the holiday, the importance of harmony between nature and man, as well as renewal and revival.
Then the head of state congratulated all Kyrgyzstanis on the Nooruz holiday.
“The change of seasons is in full swing, and spring is awakening in our country. Since ancient times, our people have lived in harmony with nature and looked forward to the arrival of spring, equal to a whole year of renewal.
Our ancestors attached special importance to the arrival of spring as the beginning of a new stage in life. Together with many peoples of the East, they celebrated the spring holiday - Nooruz. On this day, regardless of age, people went out into the field, made furrows with ploughs pulled by oxen, and sowed grain, preparing for the future harvest. On the day of the vernal equinox - Nooruz - people prayed for the well-being of the people, the safety of livestock, peace and prosperity, and also asked the Creator for a bountiful harvest in the fall.
Today, continuing the traditions of our ancestors, I am happy to congratulate all Kyrgyzstanis, as well as our compatriots living in different parts of the world, but always remembering their homeland, on the wonderful holiday - Nooruz! May this day bring everyone abundance, spiritual purity, wisdom, well-being and prosperity! Happy Nooruz holiday, my dear people!
