Bishkek, July 1, 2026 /Kabar/. Today, July 1, during a working visit to Issyk-Kul region, President Sadyr Zhaparov inspected specialized equipment designed for the development of road, construction, and municipal infrastructure in Karakol city.
The equipment will be used for road construction and repair, infrastructure construction, municipal works, city improvements, and special and emergency rescue missions.
The president also saw new passenger buses for urban and intercity routes.
Currently, the city has 10 buses serving the Karakol-Bishkek and Karakol-Almaty routes. Plans are underway to open regular routes to regional centers across Kyrgyzstan, as well as to Astana and Tashkent.
In addition, 18 buses have been purchased for intracity routes. Two more electric buses are expected to be delivered soon. All of this equipment was purchased with funds from the national budget.
By the end of this year, 75 more buses are planned to be purchased with sponsorship funds. This new bus fleet will fully meet Karakol's needs, which require 60 buses, and will also provide transportation to suburban communities and nearby villages, where an additional 45 buses are planned.
All buses meet modern requirements and are equipped with video surveillance systems, GPS trackers, and air conditioning.
The president was also shown a truck crane, front-end loaders, road rollers, wheeled excavators, an asphalt paver, a motor grader, backhoe loaders, garbage trucks, water trucks, crane-manipulators of various capacities, concrete mixer trucks, sewage disposal trucks, cargo-passenger dump trucks, cleaning and washing vehicles, and tow trucks.
It was noted that the use of modern specialized equipment will improve the quality and efficiency of construction, road repair, and utility work, expand the capabilities of municipal services, and ensure the timely completion of urban infrastructure development tasks.
