Today, May 27, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov received Shen Yueyue, Vice Chairman of the 14th National Committee of the People's Political Consultative Conference of the People's Republic of China and Chairman of the SCO Committee on Good-Neighborliness, Friendship, and Cooperation.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on bilateral cooperation, as well as cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian spheres, including healthcare.
The head of state emphasized that Kyrgyzstan and China have built relations of strong friendship, sincere good-neighborliness, and fruitful cooperation.
Speaking about significant achievements in recent years, Sadyr Zhaparov noted, among other things, the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway and the opening of the third checkpoint on the Kyrgyz-Chinese border, Bedel, as well as other major infrastructure projects.
The president also highlighted the development of cultural and humanitarian cooperation. He expressed gratitude to Chinese doctors for the successful implementation of the "Express Health" project, under which Chinese specialists have performed free cataract surgeries and glaucoma treatments on more than 1,000 patients from Kyrgyzstan over the past three years. In turn, Shen Yueyue, Vice Chair of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, thanked the president for the warm welcome and the opportunity to engage in a comprehensive exchange of views on key aspects of cooperation, reaffirming their mutual interest in deepening constructive dialogue.
She also conveyed greetings and best wishes to Sadyr Zhaparov on behalf of Chinese President Xi Jinping. Shen Yueyue noted that the leaders met three times last year and outlined a plan for developing cooperation, which gave strong impetus to the comprehensive partnership between the two countries.
Shen Yueyue emphasized that, as a good neighbor and strategic partner, China sincerely welcomes Kyrgyzstan's achievements. She expressed firm confidence that under the leadership of President Sadyr Zhaparov and thanks to the efforts of the Kyrgyz people, the country will achieve further success in national development.
