Presidents of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan visit Khujand Fortress

Bishkek, March 31, 2025. /Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Khujand Fortress today, where they took part in a number of cultural events, including an exhibition of folk crafts, agricultural products and national cuisine.

The press service of the president said that the ceremonial meeting of the heads of state began at the gates of the fortress, where they were greeted by girls in national costumes, offering bread and honey as a sign of hospitality. In honor of the Nooruz holiday, they performed poems in Kyrgyz, Tajik and Uzbek.

The entrance to the fortress was decorated with a large cauldron with sumolok - a traditional symbol of Nooruz. The presidents congratulated those gathered on this bright holiday and gave the start to the festive events.

Then the heads of state went to the exhibition pavilions, where they got acquainted with the expositions of the three countries, as well as with the performances of folklore and ethnographic groups. Then they walked along the alley of folk crafts, where the products of craftsmen from all regions of Tajikistan were presented.

Then the guide acquainted the heads of state with the exhibits of the museum, the rich history and culture of the Tajik people. After visiting the museum, the leaders visited the exhibition of national dishes.

The program ended with a viewing of a theatrical concert organized in the courtyard of the fortress.
