Bishkek, April 20, 2026. /Kabar/. Fifty small hydropower plants are currently under construction across the country in Kyrgyzstan, President Sadyr Zhaparov told at the launch ceremony of the Sokuluk and Tuyuk small hydropower plants in the Sokuluk district of the Chui region.
"This year, 13 of them are planned to be commissioned. This will improve the quality of electricity supply in the regions, create new jobs, and increase local budget revenues," the head of state emphasized.
