On May 15, as part of a working visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan, President Sadyr Zhaparov, together with the heads of state of the Organization of Turkic States, visited the Azret Sultan National Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve and the Khoja Ahmed Yassawi Mausoleum.
The heads of state toured the "Hall of Rare Exhibits" exhibition at the Azret Sultan Museum.
The leaders were presented with unique artifacts related to the history of the Khoja Ahmed Yassawi Mausoleum and the rich spiritual heritage of the Turkic world. Particular attention was paid to authentic historical relics from the 14th and 15th centuries, which represent exceptional historical and cultural value.
The presidents then visited the Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yassawi, an outstanding monument of medieval Islamic architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The complex, built by order of Emir Timur in the late 14th century, is one of the key spiritual and cultural centers of Turkic and Islamic civilization. The heads of state toured the mausoleum's interior and the historical relics housed within.
The Quran was recited in the mausoleum's tomb.
The visit to the historical and cultural sites of Turkistan was part of the program of the informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States and emphasized the shared spiritual, historical, and cultural heritage of the Turkic peoples.
