On June 9 this year, the SCO Center for Public Diplomacy in Uzbekistan, in cooperation with the Zakovat Intellectual Club NGO and Tashkent State University of Economics, as well as with the financial support of the Public Fund for the Support of Civil Society Institutions under the Oliy Majlis, organized the intellectual game SCO Cup in Tashkent 2026.
According to UzA, the event coincides with the 25th anniversary of the SCO’s founding and served as a practical embodiment of the priorities of state youth policy and support for intellectual potential within the organization.
A total of 25 teams took part in the event, comprising students from state and non-state higher education institutions in the country, young researchers, intellectual game enthusiasts, and active young people.
During the event, the participants demonstrated their knowledge and intellectual potential by answering questions about the history of the SCO member states, trends in political and economic development, cultural heritage, and the member states’ roles in the system of international relations and in modern global processes.
The winners of the tournament were determined by the results:
1st place – National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek;
2nd place – Tashkent State University of Economics;
3rd place – University of World Economy and Diplomacy.
Following the results, all participants received diplomas and valuable gifts. The team that won the tournament was ceremoniously presented with the SCO Tashkent Cup.
