Bishkek, March 4, 2026. /Kabar/. Deputy Foreign Minister Almaz Imangaziyev reported on the situation of Kyrgyz citizens in Middle Eastern countries at Jogorku Kenesh.
According to him, the armed conflict has engulfed Iran, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the UAE, Bahrain, and Qatar.
In response, these countries have closed their airspace, while Turkey and Oman have imposed partial restrictions.
Total of approximately 20,000 Kyrgyz citizens are currently in these countries. The situation is most dire in the UAE, where approximately 10,000 Kyrgyz citizens are currently staying. 1,200 have requested evacuation; the rest are residents and continue to work and reside in the country.
"Following the president's instructions, flights are planned to be organized via Oman on the night of March 5. Two planes are expected to arrive. Consular services are compiling lists and arranging for the transportation of compatriots to their departure points. 360 people—women, children, and the elderly—will be evacuated first," he said.
