Bishkek, March 3, 2026. /Kabar/. In accordance with the instructions of President Sadyr Zhaparov and the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Kyrgyz Embassy in Saudi Arabia held talks with the airline.

Ambassador Ulukbek Maripov reported that, as a result of the talks, direct flights between Jeddah and Osh will resume on March 4. Flights will operate three times a week: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

"Priority for these flights will be provided to those who already have tickets. According to the airline, the 160-seat aircraft will not be fully loaded. Due to the closure of Iranian airspace, the flight will be routed via Turkiye, without any stopovers. "Due to the increased route duration and increased fuel consumption, to avoid overcrowding the aircraft, it is planned to carry approximately 100 passengers," the ambassador stated.

Furthermore, Ulukbek Maripov noted that negotiations are underway to allow the airline to also pick up citizens who need to leave.

"Company representatives also announced that they plan to resume air service on the Jeddah-Bishkek route in the coming days. However, they note that due to the long flight distance, fuel shortages may arise," he explained.
