Strategic partnership: Kyrgyzstan and China develop infrastructure projects

Bishkek, March 24, 2026. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan and the China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) discussed prospects for cooperation in implementing major infrastructure and investment projects, according to the National Investment Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic.

According to the agency, Ravshanbek Sabirov, head of the national investment Agency, and Tian Qiang, CEO of CSCEC and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Zhongjiang Infrastructure Construction and Development LLC, discussed the construction and modernization of transport infrastructure, including roads, bridges, and railways, the development of energy facilities and utilities, and also discussed real estate and integrated urban development projects. The introduction of modern "green" and digital technologies in infrastructure construction was also discussed. CSCEC representatives shared their international experience in project implementation, including participation in the Belt and Road Initiative, and discussed possible cooperation formats with the Kyrgyz side, including public-private partnership mechanisms such as PPP, BOT, and EPC.

"Kyrgyzstan is interested in attracting strategic partners to implement infrastructure projects. We view cooperation with CSCEC as an opportunity to introduce modern technologies, attract investment, and improve the quality of infrastructure in the country," said Ravshanbek Sabirov.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed mutual interest in developing long-term investment cooperation and their willingness to explore specific projects for the construction and modernization of infrastructure in Kyrgyzstan.

The first meeting between the parties took place in Beijing during the visit of the Kyrgyz delegation. The current visit of the company's representatives to Kyrgyzstan is a continuation of the agreements reached and is aimed at deepening bilateral cooperation.
