Bishkek, Nov.11, 2025, /Kabar/. Trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Russia reached nearly $4 billion in 2024, said Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev during the 26th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Russian intergovernmental commission.
He emphasized that trade and economic cooperation traditionally occupies a central place in the structure of our bilateral relations.
"The Russian Federation has consistently been among Kyrgyzstan's top foreign trade partners; Russia's share of our country's foreign trade last year was 22%. Our governments have set the goal of increasing this figure to $5 billion, and we are moving toward confidently and consistently," the Cabinet head emphasized.
Kasymaliev noted that new tools and conditions are being consistently created to achieve this goal: e-commerce is being developed, the regulatory framework is being improved, measures are being taken to reduce costs for businesses, logistics corridors are being expanded, and support for exporters is being strengthened.
"The development of common digital trade infrastructure between our countries could become a new driver of growth, providing market access for small and medium-sized businesses and increasing the efficiency of interaction within a single economic space. Kyrgyzstan consistently advocates for strengthening integration processes, developing transport corridors, and expanding cooperation in industry and energy," he added.
