Bishkek, Oct. 13, 2025. /Kabar/. President Sadyr Zhaparov met Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Kyrgyzstan, Monika Lenhard.

I am very pleased to begin my duties as the Ambassador of Germany to Kyrgyzstan. I intend to actively contribute to the development of our bilateral relations, as well as to regional cooperation between international organizations. We have many common interests, the main is economic development. We see the growing interest of German business in Kyrgyzstan. In addition, the cultural sector is very important for us. We hope to open a joint German-French cultural institute in Kyrgyzstan in the near future. I believe that this will be realized during my term of office here, said Monika Lenhard.

She also noted that, although this was her first time in Kyrgyzstan, she had previously worked in the Central Asian department of the German Foreign Ministry and held the position of Deputy Head of the South Caucasus and Central Asia Department. I was also closely monitoring the situation in Kyrgyzstan at that time, the diplomat added.
