Bishkek, March 19, 2026 /Kabar/. The chairman of the State Tax Service of Kyrgyzstan, Almambet Shykmamatov, stated that weak businesses are directly leading the country to poverty. He expressed his opinion at a meeting with entrepreneurs in Osh.

According to Shykmamatov, the presidential decree on a temporary moratorium on tax audits of entrepreneurs clearly prohibits the initiation of cases against businessmen. Since its signing, not a single case has been initiated against entrepreneurs.

"Currently, prosecutors do not authorize the initiation of cases, and any inspections require their consent. The decree provides for an end to excessive inspections, the development of business, and the protection of the private property of entrepreneurs. In countries with developed business, people live happily. "Some of us support the arrests of entrepreneurs, not realizing that this is detrimental to the well-being of the entire country. Today they applaud, but tomorrow taxes will be cut, businesses will leave, and the country will find itself in poverty," the head of the Tax Service emphasized.

Shykmamatov noted that for the economy to thrive, it is important to create conditions for stable and safe business operations, so that entrepreneurs can develop their projects and invest in the country.
