Bishkek, 30.06.26. /Kabar/. The presentation of the concept of the international traditional music festival "Nomad Tribe" was held at the Kasymaly Bayalinov Republican Children and Youth Library.
Altynbek Maksutov, artistic director of the cultural program of the VI World Nomad Games, presented the main project of the festival venues, which will be held on September 1-6 at the Chingiz Aitmatov "Rukh-Ordo" cultural center in Issyk-Kul.
This festival will be part of the world ethnocultural festival "Nomad World: Connection of Seasons" and will bring together performers, researchers of traditional culture and guests from different countries. The main directions of the program will be competitions in storytelling, instrumental and vocal-instrumental art.
According to Altynbek Maksutov, eight thematic locations will be organized on the territory of the "Rukh-Ordo" complex. One of the main features will be a pier in the shape of a komuz, with national yurts. Concerts, creative meetings, master classes, exhibitions and other cultural events will be held here every day from 10:00 to 22:00.
"Meetings with international scholars are planned at the Chingiz Aitmatov Museum, and a theater stage will be located on the open area next to it. A podcast studio will operate in one of the yurts, where the voices of visitors will be recorded for the museum's archive. Visitors will also be offered an exhibition of traditional musical instruments of nomadic peoples of the world.
The complex will host exhibitions of artisans, an ethno-bazaar and food zones. All stages will be decorated in a single ethnic style consistent with the architecture of the Rukh-Ordo complex. Directional steles will be installed along the main road for the convenience of visitors," Maksutov said.
As Maksutov noted, all objects of the festival site will be implemented in strict accordance with the previously proposed visual concept. Foreign specialists with experience in creating large-scale cultural spaces were involved in the construction of stage structures, an ethno-market, yurts and other objects.
He also noted that during the design, special attention was paid to the climatic features of the Issyk-Kul coast. All structures were designed taking into account strong winds and possible weather changes.
"The main venue of the festival will be a covered amphitheater, where competitive performances of participants will be held for four days. For this, a special stage 24 meters wide and 10 meters high will be built. In total, 185 cultural events are planned to be held at the Rukh-Ordo venue as part of the festival, which will make it one of the largest centers of the cultural program of the VI World Nomad Games," Maksutov said.
