Bishkek, June 29, 2026. /Kabar/. Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy Salkyn Sarnogoeva took part in the official opening ceremony of the "Andijan – Cultural Capital of the Turkic World – 2026" project in Andijan, Uzbekistan.
According to the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan, the event was organized by the international organization TURKSOY and aimed at strengthening cultural ties within the Turkic world and promoting shared values.
The opening ceremony took place in the "Babur's Garden" amphitheater, specially built for this status. The event was attended by the ministers of culture of Turkic-speaking states, representatives of international organizations, heads of diplomatic missions, and prominent cultural and artistic figures from the Turkic world.
According to the ministry, during the event, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent welcoming address to the participants, emphasizing the special role of Andijan in the history, culture, and literature of Turkic civilization.
The opening ceremony included a large-scale cultural program showcasing the national artistic heritage, creative achievements, and cultural traditions of the Turkic peoples.
The event also included a ceremony to present the official Guinness World Records certificate for the world record previously set by more than 20,000 performers of the Andijan Polka.
