Bishkek, June 1, 2026 /Kabar/. On June 1, a meeting was held in Bishkek between State Secretary of the Kyrgyz Republic Arslan Koichiev and a delegation led by Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Azat Ziganshin, the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of ensuring environmental safety, rational use of natural resources, and the development of cultural and humanitarian ties.
The state secretary noted that the Kyrgyz and Tatar peoples are united by historical ties, a shared cultural heritage, and the spiritual values inherent in the Turkic world.
The meeting focused on climate change adaptation, biodiversity conservation, and environmental security. The parties exchanged views on water and forest resource protection, environmental monitoring, the implementation of green technologies, and the development of exchanges of experience between environmental specialists.
Arslan Koichiev also emphasized that the participation of representatives of the Republic of Tatarstan in the anniversary Issyk-Kul International Forum, which will be held in the coming days, will contribute to strengthening international intellectual dialogue, promoting humanist values, and deepening mutual understanding between peoples.
Following the meeting, the parties noted the importance of further expanding cooperation in environmental security, the efficient use of natural resources, and the development of cultural and humanitarian ties.
