Bishkek, Feb. 13, 2026. /Kabar/. Meeting of the Bishkek Mayor's office board was held to discuss the results of the capital's socioeconomic development in 2025 and the objectives for 2026, chaired by Adylbek Kasymaliev, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers.

Mayor outlined the key objectives for 2026.

"Our city is developing, and we face new tasks and challenges that must be addressed. 2026 should be a year of large-scale changes and improvements for the capital. Our goal is to transform Bishkek into a modern, beautiful, safe, and livable city that its residents will be proud of," the mayor emphasized.

Mayor's Office's key focus areas this year are:

  • reducing traffic congestion, developing road infrastructure, and implementing urban innovations;
  • improving the quality of housing and public services;
  • constructing social facilities;
  • resolving issues of chaotic construction, unregulated trading, and social protection.

Dzhunushaliev also emphasized that these achievements and plans were made possible by the work of the Mayor's Office team, which numbers approximately 18,000 employees, who daily ensure cleanliness, order, and the smooth functioning of public utilities and social infrastructure.

"The main goal of the Mayor's Office is to develop the city and ensure comfortable conditions for every resident. "I am confident that together we will implement ambitious plans that will help Bishkek become a modern and livable city," noted Mayor Aibek Dzhunushaliev.
