Bishkek, March 27, 2026. /Kabar/. The construction of bypass road in Cholpon-Ata is planned to be completed in time for the World Nomad Games and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit, Ministry of Transport and Communications reports.
The four-lane road will be 15.64 km long and will be financed from the state budget.
Currently, work is underway to excavate and remove excess soil, dismantle and prepare reinforced concrete elements, and carry out earthworks. Asphalt mixing plant is also planned.
Contract has been signed with China Road and Bridge Corporation to complete the construction within the specified timeframe.
The project aims to reduce traffic congestion in the city, develop road infrastructure, and ensure high-quality hosting of international events.
