Bishkek, June 22, 2026. /Kabar/. Cholpon-Ata city opens a ceremony dedicated to bust of the famous public figure, diplomat and cultural historian Murat Auezov at the Murat Auezov House-Museum-Library.
According to the Ministry of Culture, Information and Youth Policy, the event was held within the framework of the Issyk-Kul International Forum.
It was attended by State Secretary Arslan Koichiev, People's Writer of China, Nobel Prize laureate Mo Yan, representatives of state bodies, representatives of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Kyrgyzstan, cultural and public figures, and representatives of the creative sphere.
"Sultan Raev, TURKSOY Secretary General delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, noting Murat Auezov's contribution to the development of cultural ties of the Turkic world, strengthening spiritual values, and strengthening cooperation between the Kyrgyz and Kazakh peoples," the report said.
