Bishkek, Jan. 21, 2026 /Kabar/. Solar power plant with a total capacity of 105 MW will be built on 200 hectares of land in Sary-Tash village, Aravan district, Osh oblast.
According to Osh oblast administration, during a working visit to Aravan district, the head of the region, Amankan Kenzhebayev, got acquainted with the land in the region and heard information from relevant leaders.
As is known, the plant will be built at the expense of foreign investors. The first stage of installation of solar panels will begin in the spring, during which electricity with a capacity of more than 15 MW will be produced.
In the second stage, construction will be fully completed, and the total capacity will reach 105 MW. In total, about 450 thousand solar panels will be installed. The total investment cost is expected to amount to 65 million US dollars, and 35 local residents will be provided with permanent jobs.
