Bishkek, April 17, 2025. /Kabar/. Minister of Economy and Commerce Bakyt Sydykov held a meeting with Hungarian Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Sandor Dorogi.

According to the Economy Ministry, the meeting was held as part of strengthening bilateral cooperation between the countries.

During the talks, the parties discussed a wide range of issues related to economic cooperation. Particular attention was paid to the decision of the Hungarian government to additionally finance the authorized capital of the Hungarian-Kyrgyz Development Fund. Minister Sydykov noted that this step opens up new prospects for launching joint investment and infrastructure projects.

An important topic of discussion was the expansion of cooperation in the agricultural sector, including interaction between agricultural universities of the two countries. The parties expressed interest in developing joint programs in agriculture, scientific research, water management and the implementation of innovative solutions.

In addition, the significant role of the Kyrgyz-Hungarian Intergovernmental Commission as the main mechanism for coordinating and promoting bilateral initiatives was emphasized. Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their desire to deepen partnership, create joint ventures and implement mutually beneficial projects in key sectors of the economy.
