Bishkek, Oct. 19, 2026 /Kabar/. Minister of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic Talantbek Soltobaev participated in a meeting of transport ministers held as part of the 8th International Transport and Logistics Business Forum "New Silk Way" in Astana. Ministry of Transport and Communications reports.
The forum also hosted the 11th meeting of the Council of Heads of Authorized Transport Bodies of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member states.
The meeting focused on the implementation of a coordinated EAEU transport policy, the development of international transport corridors, the removal of infrastructure bottlenecks, and the enhancement of the Union's transit potential.
In his remarks, Talantbek Soltobaev noted that Kyrgyzstan is actively involved in implementing the coordinated EAEU transport policy. According to him, the country is working to develop its transit potential, improve the accessibility of transport corridors, and reduce obstacles to freight transportation.
The meeting also addressed the digitalization of transport processes, increasing the efficiency of international cargo transportation, and strengthening cooperation within the transport sector.
