Bishkek, Sept. 4, 2025 /Kabar/. The international exhibition Bishkek Fashion & Textile Kyrgyzstan has started in Bishkek, bringing together representatives of the textile industry from Kyrgyzstan, Turkiye, China and Uzbekistan.

For three days, the Kozhomkul Sports Palace turned into a platform for presenting clothing, accessories and leather goods, as well as for establishing new business connections. The exhibition featured 40 exhibitors. The event was organized by BiExpo and LiderExpo.

Among the Kyrgyz participants, Aigerim represents the Anar art studio and a souvenir shop. According to her, participation in such events has become a tradition.

“We always participate in all fairs and exhibitions organized by BiExpo. Our shop features handicrafts. Now we have come to the conclusion that many people, including young people, are returning to old fashion and want something national, made from old fabrics,” she said.

The Kyrgyz clothing brand Bugu was presented by the store manager Anara. “We are an ethnic store, only more modern - T-shirts, chapans. We try to sew clothes so that they match fashion, since ethnic style has been gaining demand lately,” the brand representative shared.

The Turkish brand Eminsa presented leather products at the exhibition. “We came to Kyrgyzstan to look at the market, what is here and what is not. This is business. We produce leather bags, wallets, belts and other products from Turkish leather,” emphasized the company’s representative Omer.

The chief sales manager in Kyrgyzstan of the Uzbek brand Milana Textile, Otobek, noted that they have been on the Kyrgyz market for a long time and have their own clients. “In Kyrgyzstan, we want to increase production volumes, so we are here to find new partners. Our brand is 80% women's clothing — pajamas, nightgowns and other goods. The company has existed since 2003, and most of the products are exported to Kazakhstan, Romania, Moldova, Ukraine, Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Belarus,” he said.

The Bishkek Fashion & Textile Kyrgyzstan exhibition will last until September 6. The organizers are confident that the event will become an important platform for the development of the fashion and textile industry in the region.
