Japanese companies to be involved in urban planning in Bishkek

Bishkek, March 4, 2025. /Kabar/. Bishkek Mayor Aibek Dzhunushaliev made a working visit to Japan, the main goal of which was to develop cooperation with leading global companies in the field of environmentally sustainable technologies, innovative development and modern urban planning.

According to the Mayor's office, the key focus of the trip was a discussion with the Japanese company Canadevía on the introduction of advanced equipment for an eco-technological plant for the production of electricity based on the recycling of solid waste, which is being built in Bishkek with investments from the Chinese company Junxin.

As part of the visit, a meeting was also held with representatives of Metarise Japan, a leading Japanese company in the field of digital technologies and innovative solutions. The possibilities of cooperation to attract investment in the implementation of infrastructure projects in Bishkek were discussed.

Additionally, the mayor of Bishkek held talks with Nikken Sekkei, one of the largest architectural and engineering companies in Japan. The main focus was on the prospects for cooperation in the field of urbanism, urban planning and the introduction of modern architectural solutions in infrastructure projects of the capital of Kyrgyzstan.

Following the meetings, agreements were reached on further joint work aimed at introducing environmentally friendly technologies, digitalizing urban management and modernizing urban infrastructure.

The mayor's visit to Japan was an important step towards sustainable development of Bishkek and strengthening international cooperation.
