Joint board of EAEU customs services being held in Bishkek

Bishkek, March 26, 2026. /Kabar/. The 53rd meeting of the Joint Board of Customs Services of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member states is taking place today at the Ala-Archa residence. The meeting will feature the heads and representatives of customs authorities of the EAEU countries.

During the meeting, participants will review the implementation of previously adopted decisions, as well as a wide range of current issues in customs administration and control.

They will also discuss the practice of classifying certain categories of goods in accordance with the EAEU Commodity Nomenclature for Foreign Economic Activity, amendments to goods declarations after their release, and the consideration of amendments and additions to the regulations governing the completion of transit declarations.

Particular attention is being paid to improving customs transit, developing approaches to organizing transportation, and strengthening controls over the movement of goods and vehicles for personal use.

The meeting will address issues of information exchange between customs services, the functioning of technical support, and the implementation of modern digital tools.

Furthermore, initiatives to improve the regulatory framework, develop a risk management system, including the use of standardized cost indicators, and update methodological recommendations in the field of customs examinations will be discussed.
