Bishkek, Feb. 27, 2026 /Kabar/. Construction of the largest ski resort cluster, Ala-Too Resort, is underway in Issyk-Kul region. This all-season project will create a new tourist destination, provide thousands of jobs, and elevate the country's international tourism appeal to a new level, President Sadyr Zhaparov told at national meeting.
"In December 2026, we will launch the first phase of construction of the 120-kilometer Jyrgalan ski resort, including the ski slope," the president announced.
As a reminder, a national meeting to summarize the results of 2025 was held at Yntymak Ordo with the participation of President Sadyr Zhaparov.
The event was also attended by cabinet members, heads of government agencies, presidential plenipotentiary representatives in the regions, the mayors of Bishkek and Osh, and district akims.
