Bishkek, Nov. 6, 2025. /Kabar/. On November 5, the first-ever Kyrgyz-Egyptian business forum was held in Cairo with the participation of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov, Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly, and representatives of the Egyptian business community.
The meeting was held as part of the Kyrgyz President's official visit to Egypt.
Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly, welcoming the Kyrgyz delegation, expressed confidence that President Zhaparov's visit would be an important step in strengthening friendly relations between the two countries. Prime Minister emphasized that the agreements reached and the signed agreements will elevate relations between the two countries to a new level.
For his part, President Sadyr Zhaparov noted that Kyrgyzstan is interested in developing comprehensive relations with Egypt. "Today, we are laying the foundation for a long-term partnership that will bring tangible benefits to our people," the president noted.
He also spoke about Kyrgyzstan's efforts to introduce digital financial instruments and develop the virtual asset market. The head of state emphasized that Kyrgyzstan is ready to cooperate with Egyptian partners in innovation and financial technology. The meeting focused on developing transport and logistics ties.
In this regard, President Sadyr Zhaparov noted the start of construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, which, when connected to international routes, will create new alternative trade routes between Asia, Europe, and Africa. He also noted that Kyrgyzstan, as a member of the Eurasian Economic Union, supports the ongoing negotiations between Egypt and the Eurasian Economic Union on concluding free trade agreement.
President Sadyr Zhaparov invited Egyptian entrepreneurs to visit Kyrgyzstan to learn about the country's economic opportunities and investment potential.
Furthermore, Bakyt Sydykov, Kyrgyz Minister of Economy and Commerce and Hassan Al-Khateb, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of Egypt, delivered brief reports on promising areas of bilateral cooperation. Video presentations were shown at the forum, showcasing the key economic sectors and tourism potential of the two countries, as well as promising projects in energy, industry, agriculture, transport, and the digital economy.
