Kyrgyz-Georgian political consultations held in Bishkek

Bishkek, Jan. 27, 2026. /Kabar/. 4th round of Kyrgyz-Georgian political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan and Georgia was held in Bishkek.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Kyrgyz delegation was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Meder Abakirov, and the Georgian delegation was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Khvtisiashvili.

During the consultations, topical issues of Kyrgyz-Georgian cooperation in political, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian and other spheres were discussed.

Meder Abakirov emphasized the importance of further strengthening political dialogue based on traditional friendship, trust and mutual respect. It was noted that organizing high-level visits and strengthening diplomatic interaction would create additional opportunities for the development of bilateral relations.

Georgian side noted the positive dynamics in the development of bilateral relations with Kyrgyzstan, emphasizing its firm commitment to strengthening political, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation. They confirmed their readiness to continue deepening the partnership, implementing joint projects and supporting the exchange of experience between the countries in order to raise Kyrgyz-Georgian relations to a new level.

At the end of the meeting, Meder Abakirov thanked the Georgian side for participating in the consultations and emphasized that the agreements reached will create a solid foundation for the further development of friendly and partnership relations between Kyrgyzstan and Georgia.

The parties confirmed their intention to conduct regular dialogue, coordinate joint initiatives, as well as implement projects that contribute to strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation in the political, economic and humanitarian spheres.
