Bishkek, April 3, 2026. /Kabar/. According to the plan, the State Tax Service should collect 330 billion soms in taxes in 2026, Almambet Shykmamatov, Chairman of the State Customs Service told Birinchi Radio.
According to him, in 2025 the State Tax Service collected 281 billion soms in taxes, against the planned 269 billion soms.
"Every year we increase our tax collection plan. While in 2020, when the president took office, approximately 140 billion soms were collected, an ambitious goal has now been set: 330 billion soms. This demonstrates a cleansing of the system and the bringing of businesses out of the shadow economy. The state provides incentives and preferential loans to small businesses to help them develop without undue pressure," Shykmamatov noted.
He also emphasized that VAT rates are higher in neighboring countries: 16% in Kazakhstan, 20% in Russia, and 12% in Kyrgyzstan.
"We are reducing the tax burden, but at the same time increasing revenues. This indicates more effective tax administration," he added.
